## About

AC Bridge is a status light system for developers running Claude Code or Codex agents. Instead of notification sounds, your smart lights change colour and effect to show what each agent is doing: working, asking for permission, needing input, or finished. You assign Claude Code and Codex sessions to profiles, then map agent states to colours and effects on lights you already own.

The tool listens to agent hooks on your machine with no cloud round trip. It supports 29 agent states for Claude Code and 19 for Codex, and can drive 20+ device types across brands including Nanoleaf, Kasa, Tapo, Yeelight, WLED, Shelly, Tuya, Meross, Sonoff, Elgato, Roku and ESPHome. You can run multiple agents at once, each with its own profile, or let one light follow several repos. The system offers 9 effects (flash, strobe, pulse, fade, loop, candle, rainbow, siren, meter) and 49 device commands including power, brightness, colour, temperature, scenes and media controls.

When a session ends, AC Bridge restores devices to their previous state. Security-sensitive commands like unlocking doors need explicit approval and are never triggered automatically.

AC Bridge works directly with both Claude Code and Codex through official hooks, with no cloud dependency. It maps 29 distinct agent states to customisable light effects per repository, and can control any light your Home Assistant already supports, plus 20+ other device types across multiple brands.

Problem
Developers running AI agents miss notifications or get distracted by constant pings while working, cooking, reading or watching. Checking the terminal repeatedly breaks focus.

Solution
AC Bridge displays agent status through smart lights in your room instead of sounds. A glance shows whether your agent is working, blocked, needs input or finished, without interrupting your activity.
