## About

Biotadex is a nature collection app for iOS and Android that identifies living things you photograph outdoors. Point your camera at a bird, plant, insect or other creature, and the app names it, shows confidence and alternatives, and adds it to your personal field guide with the photo, location and time.

Each species you find earns points based on rarity: common finds score 50 points, uncommon 150, rare 400, and very rare 1,000. The app scores you against other collectors who went outside that day. When the scanner is 85% confident or higher you get full points; between 65% and 85% you earn a share matching the confidence level. Below 65%, other collectors vote to confirm or flag your find.

Your field guide plays audio facts about each discovery in English or Spanish, read by a voice that matches your language. Moments like golden hour, first frost and dawn chorus multiply your points while they last. You get 10 free scans a week and can identify from 9 groups: birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, fish, insects, arachnids, plants and fungi.

Biotadex rewards finding rare species over scanning common ones through a steep rarity scale. Moments create real time windows based on sun, weather and tide. The app reads facts aloud in your language using sources matched to that language, and lets other collectors vote on low-confidence finds.

Problem
People who enjoy nature walks have no easy way to identify what they see and keep a record of their discoveries scored against others.

Solution
Biotadex uses your phone camera to identify wildlife, stores each find with photo and location, and scores you based on species rarity and real-world conditions like sunrise or first frost.
