## About

Dot Dash is a Morse code machine for Mac that teaches you to send and receive Morse by hand. You learn through a course of short chapters, each introducing a letter or figure by its rhythm, then practice keying it. A daily review drill brings back the characters you need most, and a progress map shows what you know and your keying speed.

You can write messages in Morse by typing them and watching the machine send them with sound and a printed tape, or key them yourself and watch them decode as you go. The app works with a straight key (hold Space), paddles in iambic mode (two keys), or a USB Morse key or keyer. You set the speed from 5 to 40 words per minute and can add Farnsworth spacing while learning.

Type Anywhere lets you hold Right Option to key Morse into any app on your Mac. Save messages in the Library, replay them on the machine, and share them as tape images, audio, or video. The app works offline, runs on macOS 14 or later on Apple silicon and Intel Macs, and includes a full 24-hour free trial with nothing held back.

Dot Dash combines learning, practice and real-world use in one tool. It teaches Morse through rhythm recognition rather than memorization, includes daily spaced-repetition drills, and lets you key Morse directly into other Mac apps. The machine interface with moving lever and printed tape makes the code tactile and visible.

Problem
Learning Morse code is slow without structured practice, and using it on a computer is awkward without dedicated software that integrates with your workflow.

Solution
Dot Dash teaches Morse through short interactive lessons and daily reviews, then lets you key it anywhere on your Mac using a physical key, paddles, or USB keyer.
