## About

FileNav is a file manager for macOS that brings Windows Explorer's familiar workflows to the Mac. If you've switched from Windows, your muscle memory works immediately: Enter opens files, F2 renames, Delete moves to trash, and Cmd+C/Cmd+V copy and paste files as expected. The editable address bar and right-click context menus work like Windows too.

Beyond recreating Windows behavior, FileNav adds features Finder lacks. Dual-pane browsing lets you view source and destination side-by-side for drag-and-drop transfers. A folder tree sidebar provides always-visible navigation. A built-in disk visualizer shows what's consuming your storage with interactive drill-down charts. You also get batch rename with live preview, folder comparison, file tagging, checksum verification, and instant search.

FileNav runs on macOS 12.4 (Monterey) and later on both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. The standard edition costs $14.99 one-time; Pro adds a disk visualizer, batch rename, and folder snapshots for $29.99; FileNav X includes remote server access (FTP, SFTP, SMB) and folder sync for $24.99. A 14-day free trial requires no credit card.

FileNav stands apart by preserving Windows muscle memory rather than asking Mac switchers to relearn file management. It restores familiar interactions: Enter opens files, F2 renames, Delete moves to trash, and standard copy-paste work on files. Beyond that, it adds features Finder lacks entirely, including dual-pane browsing for side-by-side transfers, a persistent folder tree sidebar, an editable address bar, and a built-in disk visualizer that shows exactly where storage goes. The app costs a one-time fourteen dollars ninety-nine cents with no subscription.

Problem
Switching to Mac means relearning file management. Finder doesn't support Windows shortcuts like Enter to open or F2 to rename, and lacks dual-pane browsing and a visible folder tree.

Solution
FileNav restores Windows Explorer workflows on macOS with familiar shortcuts and interactions, then adds dual-pane browsing, a folder tree sidebar, and a disk visualizer for storage management.
