## About

Foreman is a task manager for macOS that displays every running app and process with what it's using, explained in plain English. Press Control-Shift-Escape in any app to open it, the same shortcut as Windows Task Manager. You can end tasks, put apps in Efficiency Mode to slow them down, or suspend them entirely.

The app shows live graphs for CPU (overall or core by core), memory with memory pressure, disk, Wi-Fi and GPU usage. App History tracks processor time, disk, network and energy use since each app opened. Startup Apps lists what opens at login or runs in the background, grouped by app, and helps you clean up leftovers from deleted applications. A Performance tab shows the last minute of activity across all metrics.

Foreman runs on macOS 14 or later on both Apple silicon and Intel Macs. It lives in your menu bar and closes to the Dock but stays ready via the Control-Shift-Escape shortcut. The licence covers up to 3 Macs.

Foreman differs by using Windows Task Manager's keyboard shortcut (Control-Shift-Escape) and layout on Mac, so Windows users find it instantly familiar. It shows process names in plain English rather than system codes, groups helper processes under their parent app, and displays live graphs for CPU, memory, disk, Wi-Fi and GPU. The App History page totals what each app has consumed since opening, while Startup Apps reveals background programs and leftovers from deleted applications.

Problem
macOS shows hundreds of processes with cryptic names, making it hard to find what's slowing your Mac down or draining your battery.

Solution
Foreman displays every process with a plain-English name, groups helpers under their app, and lets you end tasks, enable Efficiency Mode or suspend apps in one click.
