## About

Proof of Traction is a directory that ranks indie projects by actual visitor numbers measured on each maker's own site, updated weekly. Instead of upvotes or self-reported metrics, the ranking uses a single script installed on each project's site to count real traffic, then seals the results every Monday so numbers never change retroactively.

You can submit your project for free and see how it ranks against others in the same week. The directory shows visitor counts, week-over-week changes, and the top traffic source for each project, whether that's X, direct traffic, or elsewhere. Each sealed week gets a cryptographic hash so the data is verifiable.

The tool was built by one person, Michał Florczak, who also runs two other projects listed and ranked on the same board with no special treatment. The aim is to show which indie projects are actually gaining traction with real users, not just who had the most friends on launch day.

Proof of Traction measures actual visitors from each project's own site using a single script, not upvotes or self-reported numbers. Every week is sealed on Monday with a cryptographic hash, so rankings never change after publication. The founder's own projects are ranked exactly like everyone else's with no special placement.

Problem
Launch site rankings rely on upvotes, which mostly measure who brought the most friends on launch day rather than who built something people actually use.

Solution
Proof of Traction ranks projects by real visitor numbers measured on each maker's own site, sealed weekly so the data is permanent and verifiable.
