## About

Punchcard is a time tracking tool for Mac users who want to see where their day went without the overhead of projects, timers or accounts. It sits in your menu bar and tracks which app is in front of you, and optionally which website you're viewing in your browser. At a time you choose, it prints a receipt itemized by app and site, complete with a timestamp and a stamp that lands at a slightly different angle each day.

The app runs entirely on your Mac with no cloud sync, no analytics and no networking outside of license activation. It asks for minimal permissions on install and only requests optional access to browser tab names if you enable website tracking. Your data lives in a single SQLite file in your Application Support folder and never leaves the machine.

Each receipt exports as a 1080x1350 PNG formatted for social media, with a plain-text version copied to your clipboard for alt text. The printing animation takes two and a half seconds with a soft dot-matrix sound, and you tear the receipt off your screen with spring resistance and a clean rip.

Punchcard has no projects, timers to start, or accounts to create. It uses build gates that fail the release if networking appears outside licensing or if the binary references any analytics. Your tracked data cannot leave your Mac and the app asks for no permissions on install.

Problem
Time tracking apps often require setting up projects, starting timers you forget about, or trusting your data to cloud services and analytics systems.

Solution
Punchcard automatically tracks active apps and websites, prints a daily receipt at your chosen time, and keeps all data on your Mac with no cloud sync or analytics.
