## About

Static Forms is a form backend service that handles HTML form submissions without requiring server-side code. You point your form's action attribute to api.staticforms.dev/submit, and submissions arrive in your inbox filtered for spam. The service works with plain HTML, React, Next.js, Vue, Hugo, Jekyll, Gatsby, Webflow, WordPress and other frameworks.

The free plan includes 250 submissions every 30 days on one form, spam filtering with reCAPTCHA v2, and email notifications. Paid plans add file uploads, webhooks, Slack and Discord alerts, autoresponder emails, and AI Reply that answers from your knowledge base. Pro and Agency plans unlock form rules for conditional routing, Google Sheets and Notion syncs, and custom email templates.

On paid plans, you can manage forms through Claude or ChatGPT using MCP (Model Context Protocol), letting AI agents check form settings, find submissions, or preview rule changes. The service stores data in Frankfurt if you choose the EU at signup, and delivers transactional email from AWS SES in the United States with Singapore as regional failover.

Static Forms requires no backend code or database setup. You add one API key to your HTML form and get spam filtering, email delivery, and optional integrations built in. Paid plans include AI Reply powered by your own knowledge base and form rules for routing submissions based on field values.

Problem
Adding a contact form to a static website typically requires server-side code, email configuration, and spam protection setup, which complicates deployment and maintenance.

Solution
Point your HTML form to a Static Forms endpoint with your API key. Submissions arrive in your inbox pre-filtered for spam, with optional routing to Slack, Google Sheets, webhooks and other tools.
