## About

Takehound is a self-serve video editor in the browser for people who talk to camera and are not editors. You upload a long-form talk plus your own clips, photos or slides, then press once for a first pass: the editor cuts pauses and retakes, places your footage, and puts key lines on screen. It explains every change in plain words so you can steer it like you would brief a person.

The editor watches your video as moving picture and sound, not just a transcript. It hears where cuts land in the audio, sees what your hands are doing and what is already on screen, then adjusts accordingly. You can stop at any point, ask for changes in plain words, undo steps, and watch each edit appear in a feed with its reason.

You export an MP4 to publish, or an FCPXML timeline to keep editing in DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut. Your first video is free. Takehound runs in Chrome on a laptop or desktop with no install or card needed.

Takehound watches video as moving picture and sound before and after each cut, not just a transcript. It learns your editing style and keeps it for the next video. You steer it in plain words and see why every change happened, so you can overrule it fast. It uses only footage you filmed.

Problem
Video editing takes 10 to 20 hours a week. Hiring an editor costs $100 to $300 per video, requires a brief and a queue, and often misses the creator's style.

Solution
Takehound does the first pass in about ten minutes, learns how you cut, and explains every change so you can adjust it in plain words without a brief or back-and-forth.
