Counted clicks
- A click counts when it passes our server-side
/go/redirect. - Bots, the maker’s own clicks and same-day repeats are left out.
- Clicks on paid placements are shown separately, never ranked.
Check any listing at /p/{slug}/verify: counts, score inputs, link rel and the last 50 clicks with reasons. We store no raw IP address. What we collect
Badge check
- Free listings show our badge on the maker’s site.
- We check every day.
- If it’s missing, your link turns nofollow until it’s back. The listing stays.
- A site that blocks our checker is not counted as a miss.
- “Check my badge” in your dashboard rechecks any time.
- Priority Launch ($19) needs no badge.
The snippet
Add it anywhere on the page your listing links to. A footer is fine.

DNS and meta proofs are rechecked every 90 days.
Other rules
- One vote per account. Makers cannot vote for their own products.
- Visit the product through its listing before voting. Votes need that visit.
- Votes stay open after launch week; only launch-week votes count toward that week’s rank.
- Our own products are labelled “Made by the What’s New Today team” and never hold a paid slot.
- A site failing on three different days is marked Discontinued.
