About
LumaDisk is a native disk space analyzer for Mac and Windows that displays your entire filesystem as an interactive sunburst or treemap chart. You can see exactly what is consuming storage space, drill into folders, and identify what to delete. The app scans your internal drives, external USB devices, SD cards, network volumes, and cloud storage including iCloud Drive, OneDrive and Dropbox.
The analyzer detects developer caches like node_modules, Rust target folders and Xcode DerivedData automatically. It finds duplicate files with the copy to keep already selected, and lists unused files over 100 MB that you have not opened in six months, a year or two years. You can delete files permanently from the chart itself, with a ten-second undo window as a safety net. System folders are protected and cannot be deleted.
LumaDisk is built with Rust and GPUI, the same GPU-accelerated stack behind the Zed editor, and runs natively on Apple Silicon and Windows ARM64 without Electron. Your scans stay on your machine; no file names, contents or results are sent anywhere, and no account is required. One license covers up to three devices.
Built with Rust and GPUI for native performance on Apple Silicon and Windows ARM64, with no Electron. Scans finish in seconds. Visualizes your entire disk as an interactive chart that builds itself while scanning. No subscription, no telemetry, no account required.
- Problem
- Operating systems hide what is consuming disk space behind vague categories like System Data or Other, and most tools either hide details behind cleanup buttons or show everything as an unreadable table.
- Solution
- LumaDisk displays your entire filesystem as one interactive visual map where you can see the weight of each folder and file, drill down to investigate, and decide what to delete.
