About
SharePay is a payment tool for UK businesses that lets groups split a single order at checkout, with each person paying their own share on their own card. The business receives one complete order paid straight into their account. The buyer divides the order, adds group members, and sets each person's share. Everyone then approves their own amount on their own card, and no one is charged until the last person approves.
The product works in three ways. Group splits let the buyer divide an order at checkout and send approval links to each person. Bill forwarding sends the whole bill to a parent, employer or partner, who pays by secure link without sharing card details. Dashboard splits let you enter group members and shares when taking a booking by phone or email, then SharePay sends payment links to each person.
SharePay integrates into your existing checkout with one API call and a redirect, or through a hosted checkout with no code needed. It works with your payment provider and includes a test mode to run splits end to end before going live. The product is built for businesses where groups buy together: glamping and holiday lets, events and ticketing, workshops, group travel, private hire, experiences, and clubs and societies.
SharePay lets each group member pay their own share on their own card at checkout, rather than one person fronting the full amount. No one is charged until everyone approves. The business gets one complete order straight into their account, and SharePay never holds funds.
- Problem
- When groups buy together, one person typically fronts the full amount and then chases others for payment through bank apps and messages. Sometimes no one can cover it upfront, and the business loses the sale.
- Solution
- SharePay lets the whole group pay at checkout. Each person approves their own share on their own card before any money is charged, so the business gets paid without anyone fronting the cost.
