ToolKITZ

ToolKITZ is a Mac utility that drops down from the top of your screen to give you quick access to files, clipboard history, notes, text capture and over 70 live modules. It sits above your screen and tucks away when you're done, staying out of your way while you work.

You can open it by scrolling at the top edge, hovering the notch on MacBooks, dragging a file up, pressing a keyboard shortcut (control-option-T by default), or holding a modifier key. The File Shelf lets you park files temporarily and drag them into any app. Clipboard history saves everything you copy, text, links, images and files, and you can search it, pin important items, or paste as plain text. Text Capture recognizes text from anything visible on screen: paused videos, screenshots, slides or locked PDFs.

The app includes modules for notes, to-do lists, focus mode, calendar and live data from services like Stripe, GitHub, Linear, Shopify and Claude. You can customize which modules appear, resize and reorder them, and choose from different styles and layouts. New modules arrive with every update.
