About
Verid is a web change detection API for developers who need to monitor webpages and APIs for specific changes. Instead of raw HTML diffs or noisy page-changed alerts, Verid extracts the exact field you care about using CSS selectors, XPath, JSONPath, regex, full-page hashing, or LLM prompts, then fires a webhook only when a predicate you define is true. You set up a monitor with a URL, extraction method, and condition; Verid handles fetching (with auto-fallback to headless browser and residential proxy), extracting structured data, diffing against the last run, evaluating your rule, and delivering via HMAC-signed webhook, Slack, Discord, or email.
The API supports nine predicate types so you can trigger on percentage drops, absolute thresholds, regex matches, or complex AND/OR combinations. Checks run as often as every 60 seconds on all plans, with unlimited monitors. You get field-level diffs showing exactly which values changed, 14-day to 2-year history depending on plan, and up to 6 delivery attempts with backoff before a dead-letter queue.
Verid includes a Node.js SDK and a hosted MCP server. The free trial runs for 14 days with no credit card, giving you 200 runs plus 100 visual runs, SERP tracking, and 50 AI calls. Paid plans start at 9 dollars per month for 1,000 runs, scaling to 100,000 runs at 149 dollars per month.
Verid combines structured extraction, durable state, field-level diffing, and predicate-driven delivery in one API loop. Unlike DIY scrapers that break when sites change, no-code monitors that trigger on cookie banners and timestamps, or scraping APIs that skip scheduling and state, Verid handles the entire pipeline with zero glue code.
- Problem
- Existing web monitoring tools either send noisy alerts on every page change, require you to build and maintain scrapers and retry logic yourself, or return raw data you still need to wire up to scheduling and rules.
- Solution
- Verid extracts specific fields from any URL using six methods, evaluates your custom predicates, and delivers structured webhooks only when your rule fires, with automatic retries and proxy fallback built in.
