About
Viraam is a wellness app that interrupts your phone and computer use with gentle, intentional pauses. On iPhone and iPad, opening a chosen app triggers a short pause with your own reason for slowing down; you then decide whether to take a breath or close the app. On Mac, timed breaks guide you through the workday with sound-paced practices so you can rest with your eyes closed.
Each app offers three types of guided practices. Mind includes breathing exercises paced by sound (with haptic feedback on iPhone) and meditations from one to fifteen minutes. Body reminds you to stand, stretch, walk, drink water and eat mindfully, with step counting on iPhone. Eyes provides audio-guided rest where sound sets the pace, so there's nothing to watch; you can blink, close your eyes or palm.
You set separate reminders for each category and how often they appear, with a daily limit to prevent interruptions. The Mac version tracks screen time and your longest unbroken stretch. Both apps work without an account.
Viraam treats pauses as gentle friction rather than blocks. You choose whether to take a breath or close the app. On iPhone and iPad, pauses trigger when you open specific apps you select. On Mac, breaks wait out meetings and focus time before appearing. Sound guides practices so your eyes can stay closed.
- Problem
- Long screen time and desk work strain your eyes, posture and focus without natural reminders to rest, move or breathe.
- Solution
- Viraam sends timed wellness breaks with guided practices for eyes, body and mind. Pauses appear before chosen apps on mobile or during your workday on Mac, with sound-paced guidance so you can rest without watching a screen.
