About
Woodpecker is a Mac utility that plays mechanical keyboard sounds as you type, with 22 different switch types to choose from. Pick from Cherry MX variants, Topre, Holy Panda, Gateron, Kailh and others, each with its own acoustic character. You can adjust the tone from deep to bright and preview any switch before committing to it.
The app stays quiet when your microphone is active, mutes automatically in password fields, and records nothing you type. It works across your Mac and any app, controlled from the menu bar. Woodpecker runs on macOS 13 or later on both Apple silicon and Intel Macs, and you can use one license on up to three machines.
Woodpecker includes 22 authentic mechanical keyboard switch sounds with adjustable tone and room acoustics. It automatically silences during microphone recording and in password fields, and the developer emphasises it only listens to keys, never recording or modifying what you type.

- Solution
