Pre-launch site check
See what launch sites, share cards and search engines read from your homepage, and what to fix before you submit it anywhere.
What it checks
- Page title and meta description
- Most launch sites prefill your name and tagline from them, and search engines show them as your result.
- Share image, title and text
- The og: tags decide what a link to your site looks like on X, LinkedIn, Slack and most launch boards. We also load the image to make sure it works.
- Icon
- Directories show it next to your name. Without one, they fall back to a blank square.
- Indexing, canonical and robots.txt
- A leftover noindex or Disallow: / from staging hides the whole site from search engines.
- Sitemap
- It helps new pages get found sooner. We look where robots.txt points, then at /sitemap.xml.
- Main heading and mobile viewport
- An <h1> in the HTML and a viewport tag, so crawlers and phones read the page as you meant.
- What’s New Today badge
- Free listings here need it. It is the only check about us, and Priority Launch doesn't need it.
It reads the HTML your server sends, before JavaScript runs, the way most directory and link-preview bots do. It checks one page and never promises rankings or traffic.
